Multifunctional Building Brno
Kotoulková, Leona ; Drobníček, Ladislav (referee) ; Menšíková, Naděžda (advisor) ; Sobotka, Jindřich (advisor)
This work contains technical drawings, architectural design and architectural detail of the Multifunctional house in Brno, Líšeň district. Basis for this design was taken from my student work of 6. semester. The design is mainly inspired by construction system - module frame container system by Intecom company. The intent is to make the best use of the profile of the terrain, which descends steeply. The building also responds to surrounding prefab developement and to the Novolíšeňská road, which stands for one of the busiest in Brno. The acces to the plot is situated on the opposite side from the road. This driveway is separated from the ascending main road by the supporting wall. A few parking places are situated there. There is also a bus stop in near vicinity, thanks to which is possible to reduce automobile transportation. The building is divided into three blocks. Main two with flats and third, ground-floor, between them serves as a pastry shop. These two main blocks are identical and each of them is axially symmetrical. Each block has four floors, three above and one under ground. A block contains four maisonette flats, four garages, two offices of individual use and shared middle connecting part. The middle connecting part is inspired by a greenhouse. The pavement here is reduced and mostly replaced by grassed floor, which can be used for growing plants. This whole part is sheltered by semipermeable fiberglass. The front-side of the building is covered by light facade Polycon, which also covers the whole front slanted part of the roof. The rest of the building is covered by galvanized trapezoid sheet of tin.
